Sephora Double-Ended Brush Set Review
I was fairly desperate for a new brush set once December set in. My brushes were either dead, dying, or MIA. Best put, it made applying holiday makeup a creative challenge. (Really, I don’t care what you say; the Q-tip was one of the greatest inventions of the 20th century.) Luckily, friends took note of my dilemma and I was gifted this beautiful Sephora Double-Ended Brush Set for the holidays. As always, keep reading for product review and photos.
The case is compact, easy to fit into a drawer or a travel bag, and is made of a thick and soft synthetic polymer. The silver clasp is magnetic and has a strong hold. As the sticker claims, this set has a $136 CAD value but sells for $60 CAD.
The inside is made of a silkier material that is easy to wipe down and clean (perfect for those of us that have to stick our dirty brushes back in the case without cleaning due to time constraints). The flaps protect brush tips, and brushes are held in place by black elastic.
As can be seen, this set includes:
- Powder brush
- Foundation brush
- Shadow (top) and Smudge (bottom) brush
- Brow (top) and Flat Liner (bottom) brush
- Double-ended Lip brush
Brush bristles are soft, sleek, and smooth. They apply well and clean just as easily. Lip brushes allow an excellent level of precision.
As can be seen above, brushes are 50% longer than a bottle of OPI Nail Lacquer which is standard brush size.
My only “complaint” about this set is the price. While you do get an inclusive and compact brush set that is for face, eye and lip, cheaper sets can be found. Although this set is one of the cheaper Sephora Collection brush sets, elf (Eyes Lips Face) currently has several sets available for as low as $12.00 USD. Worth checking out!
Please note: if you’re looking to invest in new brushes, it is usually cheaper to buy a set than individual brushes.
