Ever Vain’s 2012 guide to winning Black Friday

Ever Vain’s 2012 guide to winning Black Friday

I remember there was a time when Thanksgiving was properly celebrated in the US before the Christmas season. Now it seems like winter holidays start right after Halloween ends — and some are even trying to push it up further! The Christmas shop at the downtown mall in Baltimore opened sometime in early October. Yeesh.

I was in Bath & Body Works today, and they had all of their winter and holiday stuff up already…and then I saw in this one bin one Turkey item. What happened to Thanksgiving at all?!

Anyway, I hope all my fellow Americans are having a wonderful Thanksgiving. Remember to cherish your family and what you have in life. And to our Canadian and international readers — I hope y’all are having a pleasant Thursday. On to the deals! Hopefully I can point out a few y’all haven’t seen yet!

Sephora
The deal everyone and their mothers already know about — Sephora is offering 15 sets/items for $10 USD ($12 CAD for Canadians).

Don’t forget to combine it with add-ons ITKIT, LITTLELUX, or another coupon code for a free deluxe item if you order online! These go fast, so be sure to keep your eyes on them.

Ultaview it here!
Another one almost everyone knows about. Be sure to check in at /blackfriday at ulta.com to get the deals!

Lots of great deals going on in this one. Great steals include Urban Decay’s Triple Threat 24/7 eyeliners ($19 for three), Lorac palette ($12), Tarte Amazonian clay set ($22), Benefit set ($25), Stila Kitten set ($10), Smashbox brushes ($19), and the Too Faced triple threat ($18). Don’t forget to combine it with Ulta’s $3.50 off $10 or $10 off $60!

The Body Shop – Mistletote ($100 value) for $30 with additional $30 purchase.
This deal is especially awesome because it’s stackable with the 3 items for $30 deal going on and the Love Your Body 10% membership discount.

Bath and Body Works – Holiday VIP Tote ($111 value)
Get this tote for $20 with a $40 purchase. Unfortunately not stackable with other coupons, but still a great deal, especially if you want to give away a bunch of stuff for relatively cheap during the holidays.

Origins
Hot off the press, $10 and free shipping off $25 orders with code TENOFF. Is that a wowza or what.

Birchbox
Birchbox has an on-going “it’s complicated” with its box subscribers, but never let it be said their online store isn’t awesome. Use bblove25 (no caps) to get 25% off your entire order, and free shipping at $25. Considering Birchbox’ wide selection in their stores, that’s a pretty nice variety!

Glymm
For you gorgeous Canadians, Glymm’s Cyber Weekend Sale starts Black Friday and lasts all weekend. The first 50 shoppers will receive a $25 CAD gift certificate for Panty by Post, and everyone else can expect some great beauty deals and discounts. (Ryk personally has her eyes on Evolvh shampoo + conditioner.)

Indigo, Chapters, and Coles Bookstores
Both in-store and online, all three bookstores will be having a Buy 3 get the 4th Free event that is applicable not only to books, but also lifestyle and home decor items. They have some gorgeous stock, so if you’re looking for gifts for family (i.e. your mother because she is an elegant women and loves elegant home goods), definitely check this sale out. Also, if you want to treat yourself (Ryk highly recommends the new fuzzy blanket/throw), go ahead!
